Cited case file analysis for police departments
WorkhorsePD reads a criminal case file and gives back a chronology, statement inconsistencies, a Brady review and affidavit drafts. Every line cites the page, row or place it came from.
One flat price per user, with AI usage included. Every run shows its price before it starts.
Time back for detectives and patrol
The slow part of a case is reading, indexing and cross-checking. WorkhorsePD does that first pass, so your people spend their time checking cited work instead of writing it from scratch.
Detectives
- Chronology: instead of reading the whole file to build a timeline, review one that is already built, with every entry linked to its page.
- Statement inconsistencies: instead of comparing statements side by side by hand, get the conflicting statements already paired, with sources.
- Brady review: instead of searching the file for disclosable material, review the items already flagged.
- Interviews: instead of transcribing audio, read the transcript.
- Affidavits: instead of starting from a blank page, edit a draft built from the cited facts.
Patrol
- Report check: see what is missing before you submit, so fewer reports come back from a supervisor or the DA.
- Affidavits: start probable-cause and search warrant affidavits from a draft, not a blank page.
We measure the time saved with your agency during the 60-day pilot.
What it does
- Upload the file. PDFs (typed or scanned), text, CSV and Excel, map files (KML, KMZ, GeoJSON, GPX) and interview audio.
- Get a cited analysis. Source index, fact ledger, chronology, people and identities, inconsistencies between statements, and gaps in the file.
- Brady review. Flags material that may need to be disclosed, each item linked to its source.
- Report check before submitting. Lists what to fix, such as open contradictions or unmet statute elements, before the report goes out.
- Affidavit drafts. Probable-cause and search warrant affidavits drafted from the cited facts.
- Download and verify. PDF report and Excel workbook. Anyone can check that a file they were handed is exactly what a run produced.
- Full audit trail. Nothing is deleted. Every change is recorded, and the trail is anchored outside the database.
Pricing
Pricing you can read in a minute.
- One flat price per user. Detective $225, Patrol $75, Admin free, per user per month.
- AI usage included. Each seat adds monthly AI credit to one agency pool.
- No surprise bills. Every run shows its price first, and you never pay more than that price.
Example: 2 detectives and 4 patrol officers cost 2 × $225 + 4 × $75 = $750 a month ($9,000 a year), with $120 of AI credit each month. An agency whose seats total less than $500 a month pays the $500 minimum.

Questions
- What does WorkhorsePD do?
- It reads a criminal case file (reports, statements, records, spreadsheets, maps and interview audio) and returns a chronology, a list of statement inconsistencies, gaps, a Brady review and affidavit drafts. Every line cites the page, row or place it came from, so a detective can check it in seconds.
- How does WorkhorsePD save detectives and patrol officers time?
- It does the first pass of reading, indexing and cross-checking. Detectives review a chronology, inconsistencies, Brady flags, interview transcripts and affidavit drafts that are already built and cited, instead of writing them by hand. Patrol officers see what is missing from a report before submitting it and start affidavits from a draft. The time saved is measured with each agency during its pilot.
- How much does WorkhorsePD cost?
- Detective is $225 per user per month and Patrol is $75 per user per month, both billed yearly. Admin seats are free. The agency minimum is $500 a month ($6,000 a year). Larger agencies can ask for a quote.
- What would a typical agency pay?
- 2 detectives and 4 patrol officers cost $750 a month ($9,000 a year), with $120 of AI credit each month. An agency whose seats total less than $500 a month pays the $500 minimum.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. Agencies get a 60-day free pilot, then sign a one-page order form.
- Can the AI bill run over?
- No. The price is shown before each run, for example 3,200 pages for about $1.25, and you never pay more than the price shown. Admins are alerted when 80% of the agency's monthly credit pool is used.
- Is WorkhorsePD CJIS compliant?
- Not yet. WorkhorsePD is in beta and is not CJIS compliant. Do not upload Criminal Justice Information until compliance work is complete and your CSO has approved it.
